The name of the Society is: “THE BRITISH SOCIETY FOR ORAL MEDICINE”, herein known as “the Society”. Oral Medicine is the specialty of dentistry concerned with the oral health care of patients with chronic, recurrent and medically related disorders of the oral and maxillofacial region, and with their diagnosis and non-surgical management.
The British Society for Oral Medicine seeks to improve the quality of life of patients who fall within the scope of the specialty by promoting excellence in clinical care, research, education and training.
