Dr Phil Atkin, consultant and honorary senior lecturer in Cardiff dental hospital and school, was recently recognised by ADEE at the 2022 meeting for his many years as an educator and trainer, and contribution to dental education research in the area of medicine in relation to dentistry, with publications and presentations in internationally recognised education journals and dental educational conferences in Europe and north America. He is a member of the Special Interest Group reviewing teaching and assessment in undergraduate human disease topics and developing a European curriculum for endorsement by ADEE.
The award was presented by the President of ADEE, Dr Pal Barkvoll, Professor of oral surgery and oral medicine, University of Oslo.
